About the role

NEIS is seeking Loss Control Field Inspectors to conduct insurance loss control inspections on commercial or residential properties. This is a part-time/occasional position with flexible hours—you make your own schedule.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical inspections on commercial or residential properties.
• Apply manual rules and company standards to identify potential risks and reduce the chance of accidents.
• Prepare a schedule to maximize optimal use of time and ensure timely service.
• Correspond with insured parties via phone, email, and text to set up appointments.
• Complete a physical loss control survey to identify current issues or hazards.
• Prepare required reports after inspections, including multiple pictures.
• Communicate survey status via internal progress reports.

Requirements

• Competent use of digital camera, word processing, and email.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record (based on NEIS guidelines).
• Must live within a 30-mile radius of the assigned territory.
• Job is home-based with required travel to inspection locations within your territory.
• Maintain automobile insurance with bodily injury limits equal to or greater than $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident or $300,000 combined.

Pay

• Compensation is roughly $50 and up per inspection (varies by job and location).
• Base pay, mileage reimbursement, and production pay—all paid weekly.
