Responsibilities
- Schedule on-site surveys
- Provide risk evaluation and risk improvement reports
- Underwrite commercial insurance policies
- Make recommendations to control and/or correct potential loss-producing conditions
- Manage assigned work and secure customer appointments
- Complete work assignments on time
- Work on special projects or more challenging surveys
- Assess risk for various commercial insurance lines including Property, General Liability, Workers Compensation, Auto/Fleet, Products Liability, Inland Marine, and Builders Risk
Qualifications
- Computer with an image/document scanner, digital camera or tablet, high-speed internet access, and reliable vehicle
- Measuring device such as a laser, 100 ft. tape, or measuring wheel
- BS Degree in Engineering, Safety, or the physical sciences (preferred)
- CSP or ARM designations (preferred but not required)
- 10+ years of Risk Control Consulting experience
- Experience working with major carriers or national brokers (preferred)
- Commercial Lines Property/Casualty Loss Control, Commercial Lines Property/Casualty Underwriting, Commercial Lines Property/Casualty Claims Adjuster, and Commercial insurance inspections experience (preferred)
- Fire and Life Safety investigations/inspections experience (preferred)
- EIN (Employer Identification Number) (not required)
