Los Angeles – Environmental Associate
About the role
The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience practicing environmental law in the context of compliance counseling, enforcement defense, litigation, permitting and other regulatory authorizations, or agency rulemaking, with particular experience working in private practice, a trade association, and/or a government agency.
Responsibilities
- Work on precedent setting legal matters with a team that values direct client contact, mentoring and training.
- Collaborate on interesting, long-term projects with established clients.
- Provide compliance counseling, enforcement defense, litigation, permitting and other regulatory authorizations, or agency rulemaking services.
Requirements
- California bar membership is required.
Qualifications
A successful candidate is dedicated to the practice of environmental law, has self-motivation, strong intellectual curiosity, good judgment, responsiveness, perseverance, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Skills
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $260,000 to $435,000.
