Responsibilities
- C Conduct objective, defensible Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) for Longshore cases
- C Perform comprehensive peer reviews of medical records
- C Provide detailed, timely written reports
- C Maintain compliance with LHWCA standards and documentation requirements
Qualifications
- A Active, unrestricted medical license (TX, LA, CA preferred; additional states welcome)
- B Board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopedics, Neurology, Psychiatry, or related specialty
- E Prior Longshore IME and/or Peer Review experience strongly preferred
- F Strong analytical and report-writing skills
- G Ability to manage case timelines independently
Preferred Experience
- H Experience performing 30+ Longshore IMEs and/or Peer Reviews
- I Prior work with third-party administrators (TPAs), insurance carriers, employers, or IME vendors
- J Multi-state Longshore case experience
