Long-Term Substitute Teacher: Behavior Specialist

Wilmette Public Schools District 39 is looking for a Long-Term Substitute Teacher to serve as a Behavior Specialist during a long-term leave. This position will be located at McKenzie and Harper Elementary Schools. Role: Long-Term Substitute Teacher – Behavior Specialist Location: McKenzie and Harper Elementary Schools Start Date: Late October/Early November 2026 End Date: End of January/Early February 2027 (exact dates to be determined) Salary & Benefits: The daily rate of pay is $150/day. Substitutes working 20 consecutive days in the role of a teacher/licensed position are considered long-term. The daily rate of pay for long-term substitutes is $250/day. Long-term substitutes have access to health insurance per the terms of the current WEA contractual bargaining agreement. Qualifications: Valid IL Educator Licensure with proper endorsement.
