Responsibilities

• Teach lead and inspire students in 4th grade special education classes.
• Engage in authentic, challenging, and relevant learning experiences.
• Build relationships with families and communities to support student success.
• Collaborate with colleagues to implement the Anti-Racism policy and support equitable practices.
• Implement Culturally Responsive Teaching model in support of the Equity Mission Statement.

Requirements

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching certificate with endorsement in Special Education.

• Self-reflective and prepared to engage with the Culturally Responsive Teaching model.
• Passionate about closing equity and achievement gaps.
