About the role
This is a temporary/substitute position responsible for fulfilling essential teaching duties in a high-school setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction in accordance with lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher.
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a safe, productive learning environment.
- Perform related duties as assigned, including attendance tracking and basic administrative tasks.
Requirements
- Earned sixty (60) semester credit hours from an accredited institution (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Successful completion of the district’s Substitute Teacher Training Workshop.
- Basic computer and technology skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual skills.
Pay
Hourly rate as specified in the district’s Classroom Monitor pay schedule (see linked rate information).
