Long Term Substitute High School Biology and AP Biology

Anticipated length of assignment: 8–13 weeks, starting October 12, 2026.

Pay

• $125.00 per day (days 1–20)
• $150.00 per day (days 21–60)
• B.A. Base rate (day 61 until end of assignment)

Requirements

• Valid Ohio Teaching License or Certificate
• Clear record as determined by the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCII) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
• Experience working with children in a school setting

• Flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and computer skills

Responsibilities

• Review and implement regular teacher’s routines, procedures, and objectives
• Facilitate student progress in the functional curriculum, including High School Science Biology and AP Biology
• Provide effective individualized instruction to students in assigned classroom and with possible remote learning online
• Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
• Provide necessary support, communication, direction, and feedback to assigned paraprofessional staff
• Maintain regular, positive communication with building staff
• Regular and punctual attendance
• Other duties as assigned by school administration
