Long Term Substitute - Credit Flex / Alternative Education Program

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the teacher of record for students enrolled in the Credit Flex program.
  • Meet with students and families to optimize student success within the Credit Flex program and provide differentiated support as needed.
  • Monitor student progress with the Credit Flex program and provide timely feedback to students.
  • Collaborate with a variety of parties (e.g., instructional staff, other school personnel, parents, community resources, etc.) to improve the quality of student outcomes, develop solutions, achieve program objectives, and/or plan curriculum.
  • Support OIP meetings under the direction of the principal.
  • Assess and place new students who do not have assessment data upon entering school, under the direction of the principal.
  • Facilitate communication of new student data and information with teachers.
  • Collaborate with the principal and grade-level teams to create initial student groups and support regrouping as needed throughout the school year.
  • Assist teachers in the selection of student intervention strategies and data collection, under the direction of the principal.

Requirements

  • Valid state department of education license/permit as determined at the time of appointment.
  • Previous successful teaching experience.
  • Previous successful experience working in a multicultural setting.
