About The Role

Clarvida is hiring an Instructional Substitute for a long-term classroom assignment supporting students from elementary through high school in our alternative school placement. This role supports high-risk youth through structured learning, consistent engagement, and a blended curriculum that includes hands-on projects, restorative circles, and support with online coursework. You will help maintain a stable, supportive classroom environment and contribute directly to students' academic and social-emotional success. Responsibilities

• Lead and support classroom instruction during a long-term assignment
• Implement a blended curriculum including online coursework, hands-on projects, and restorative circles
• Maintain classroom structure, engagement, and safety
• Support students with academic tasks, learning goals, and behavior expectations
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure continuity of learning
• Track participation, attendance, and required documentation

Required Qualifications

One of the following:

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 3 years of related experience and/or training (ParaPro exam required; Clarvida reimburses exam costs)

Additional requirements:

• Able to pass background and criminal record checks
• Compliance with drug-free workplace policies
• Meets all mandated health requirements (e.g., negative tuberculosis test)

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $30/hour

• Weekday school hours (7am/8am–3pm)
