About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Dietary Aide to join our team and support the nutritional needs of our residents. In this role, you will play an important part in delivering a positive dining experience by assisting with meal preparation, service, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. At Cedar Ridge, our dietary team helps create a comfortable, home-like atmosphere where residents feel cared for and respected. Your work directly contributes to their health, satisfaction, and overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of meals, snacks, and beverages in accordance with established menus and dietary guidelines
• Serve meals to residents while ensuring proper food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards are followed
• Set up and break down dining areas, ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, including dishwashing and general sanitation tasks
• Follow all facility procedures, dietary guidelines, and state and federal regulations
• Assist with monitoring and maintaining inventory of food supplies and kitchen items
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and care teams to ensure residents’ dietary needs are met
• Participate in nutrition-related programs or initiatives as needed

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate service to residents and interact respectfully with families and team members
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Attention to detail with the ability to follow dietary instructions, meal plans, and recipes accurately
• Ability to follow directions and adhere to established procedures and safety standards
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform tasks related to food preparation and service
• Dependable, organized, and able to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in food service or healthcare dietary setting preferred, but not required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition residents (up to 50+ lbs with assistance as needed)
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
• Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
