Long Island Yoga Instructor

About the role

This is a part-time, on-site role located in Long Island; for the position of Yoga Instructor at Puppy Sphere. We are looking for yoga instructors that are passionate about yoga, love puppies, and have a warm, bubbly personality. You will lead all levels-friendly yoga classes while ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for both attendees and puppies!

Responsibilities

• Lead and instruct beginner (all levels) yoga flow classes with an emphasis on relaxation and enjoyment.
• Be mindful and patient that puppies will be present during practice and attendees will have divided attention to the yoga practice and puppies.
• Create a welcoming and positive atmosphere for all attendees.
• Provide modifications and adjustments to accommodate different skill levels.
• Collaborate with the Puppy Sphere team members to maintain a clean and organized space.

Requirements

• Candidate must be available on Saturdays or Sundays for scheduling (1 day per weekend).
• Additional weekday availability is a huge plus.
• Candidate must be available to teach x4 sessions per scheduled day.
• Certified Yoga Instructor (RYT 200 or equivalent).
• Must hold valid Professional Liability Insurance covering fitness instruction.
• Experience teaching group yoga classes.
• Genuine love for animals, particularly puppies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to create a friendly, inclusive, and supportive environment.
• Patience and adaptability to handle the playful nature of puppies during classes.
