Logistics Team Member

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials.
• Performs receiving and shipping procedures.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand and/or motorized equipment such as forklift and electric pallet jacks.
• Loads materials into and out of vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Covers materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled within an ERP system by means of scanner and/or computer.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Stacks or assembles materials onto pallets.
• Lifts heavy objects by hand, cleans work area, machines, and equipment.
• Affords assistance to numerous company personnel from other departments; Sales Support, Company Store, Packaging and Processing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Basic knowledge of Scanner and ERP System, Spreadsheet Software, and Word Processing Software
• Experience with fork trucks or pallet jacks desired

• M-Th: 6:30 am to 3:30 pm
• Friday: 6:30 am-10:30 am as needed
