Logistics Specialist

Salary: $70K – $75K DOE

As a Logistics Specialist, you will play a key role in transportation planning, customer support, and overall operational success. With a hybrid schedule and exposure to multiple business functions, this position offers both variety and opportunities for professional growth.

During in-office days, you will be located just a short walk from the Willamette River, with easy access to nearby restaurants, shops, and boutiques.

Responsibilities

• Track railcar locations and movements
• Enter key operational data – including deliveries and status changes – into Salesforce
• Manage large volumes of internal and external railcar data in Microsoft Excel
• Document important planning details for railcar delivery and return projects
• Support companywide reporting for business development opportunities
• Respond to customer service inquiries
• Maintain tracking files and retrieve and distribute documents as needed
• Assist with calculating freight rates for railcar movements
• Assist the mechanical team with customer inquiries
• Provide administrative support for monthly customer prospecting activities
• Support the sales and operations teams with internal applications
• Assist the accounting team by tracking and auditing freight and storage costs
• Complete ad hoc administrative projects assigned by internal management

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in transportation logistics and supply chain
• College degree in relevant field preferred but not required
• Experience with Salesforce CRM preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite preferred
• Experience in the rail industry preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills
• Proven track record of reliability
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Strong interest in logistics and transportation
