Logistics Prepositioning Planner (Maritime)

Job Objective

Under a five-year contract, the Logistics Prepositioning Planner (Maritime) will support the United States Marine Corps Forces, Central Command (MARCENT) and subordinate commands. The scope of the requirement includes professional services for MARCENT located aboard MacDill Air Force Base (AFB), Florida, which serves as a Component Command to U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM).

Responsibilities

• Provide Maritime Prepositioned Force (MPF) planning services
• Review OPLANs, CONPLANs, and exercise plans to ensure proper employment of MPF assets
• Develop and execute prepositioning strategies, plans, concepts, tasks, prepositioning estimates, and MPF budget review
• Maintain the MARCENT prepositioning web pages, historical files, and other required documentation
• Prepare, document, and improve MARCENT prepositioning capabilities and relationships
• Prepare, review, and advise on MARCENT prepositioning planning requirements, MPF capabilities, and operational employment
• Prepare and attend post-conference reports, conduct operational assessments, and attend annual prepositioning and sea-basing operational advisory group conferences
• Affiliate with the MARCENT Staff and subordinate elements in achieving training objectives
• Affiliate with the MARCENT G-4 staff in the development of training and exercise related Standard Operating Procedures, Execution Checklists, Policies, Orders and Directives via participation in planning teams, working groups and conferences as required to incorporate lessons learned and after-action items from previous similar events
