Logistics Packaging Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the logistics and manufacturing industry, is seeking a Logistics Packaging Engineer to join their global logistics team. You will develop and implement innovative packaging and shipping solutions that enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure safety and quality standards.

About the role

• Design and implement logistics packaging and shipping solutions that optimize trailer utilization and reduce transportation costs across the global network.
• Document and standardize shipping and receiving processes to ensure consistency and operational excellence worldwide.
• Collaborate with logistics operations, manufacturing, procurement, and distribution teams to integrate packaging solutions seamlessly into the supply chain.
• Analyze logistics loading processes, including crating, decking, and returnables, to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to packaging efficiency and load factor performance, leveraging analytics tools like Power BI to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging, supply chain, or logistics roles with a focus on process improvement.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to partner effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to develop and document operational processes and standards.
• Knowledge of global logistics operations, material handling, and shipping standards.
