Responsibilities
- Operates a forklift or other lifting devices to transport, load, unload product and materials around the plant.
- Preparation of goods for shipment in advance based upon issued documents.
- Assists in receiving, checking, documenting, and storing incoming products.
- Assists in conducting physical inventories.
- Perform routine equipment servicing/control, such as attaching a battery charger and checking for safety of operations.
- Responsible for the receipt, recording, and disbursement of materials and supplies.
- Loading bay to be kept tidy and in good condition.
- Follow all safety rules, procedures, and instructions.
- Use PPE and safety equipment as required.
- Report unsafe conditions, equipment, or practices to supervisors immediately.
- Participate in safety training and drills.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to minimize hazards.
- Perform other duties as per request within agreed job competences.
Requirements
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Forklift certified.
