This Supply Chain/Logistics Manager is overall responsible for Mesquite Plant logistics operation, including warehousing, domestic & international transportation and customs, to ensure the requirements of the company and customers are properly met.
Responsibilities
- Closely monitor warehouse, transportation & customs third-party logistics performance, lead KPI performance review and work with third-party logistics on action plans to close gap against KPI targets per service agreement, drive third-party logistics on continuous improvement
- Work closely with sourcing team on Local third-party logistics selection and bidding process, support pricing and contract negotiation as well as ongoing vendor management
- Secure sufficient storage and delivery capacity with third-party logistics, build up flexibility to meet business requirement and contingency
- Responsible for logistics budget on Distribution Center and inbound/outbound Freight, identify opportunity for productivity improvement including but not limited to space optimization, transportation mode optimization, freight control
- Develop and recommend improvement to existing processes and procedures that contribute to continuous improvement of local operations and reduction of administrative burdens and cost
- Hold regular review on inventory healthy, work closely with planning team to monitor inventory level, provide logistics information on storage capacity planning, inventory aging & drive aged/defective stock clearance
- Maintain good relationship with internal and external customers, understand customer needs and define proper process to meet customer request
- Work closely with compliance, quality and EHS team to ensure suppliers understand and comply with company's standards and business continuity requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferred in Logistics, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in warehouse management or transportation, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Familiar with international and domestic logistics service providers
- Good knowledge on SAP system
