Job Description

GTRI's Support Services Department (SSD) seeks a Student Assistant to assist with our mail services operations starting Summer 2026. The Student Assistant for the Logistics Mailroom will support the operations by managing the receipt, sorting, and distribution of mail and packages, as well as assisting with various logistical tasks. The student’s responsibilities include ensuring that all incoming and outgoing mail and packages are processed efficiently and accurately. The student will keep detailed records of shipments and deliveries. The student will assist in maintaining a clean and organized mailroom, ensuring that all equipment is functioning correctly. This includes coordinating with vendors, scheduling maintenance when necessary, and replenishing supplies. The role will involve significant interaction with faculty, staff, and other students, requiring strong customer service and communication skills.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Student Assistant/Research Assistant Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours with your university.
  • 2.0 or higher cumulative GPA.
  • Hours per Week: 10–20 hours per week.
  • U.S. Citizenship Requirements: Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.
