About the role
This internship will support the Program Planning Team with logistics-related activities at Mercedes-Benz Vans. Under the guidance of a professional specialist or manager, the intern will observe, assist, and learn critical aspects of production logistics. The role encourages creativity, innovation, and resourcefulness while completing assigned tasks. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical.
Responsibilities
- Develop a tracking and reporting tool
- Implement process improvements
- Support sequencing system tracking development
- Perform other activities as assigned
Requirements
- Graduated within the past 12 months or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Logistics or a related Engineering field
- Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and/or Supplier Quality is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment
- Desire for continuous development and learning opportunities
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Interest in logistics, procurement, order management, supplier development, or supplier quality
- Must be able to work full-time at the plant
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in university, in a gap year between Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, or a recent graduate
- A minimum of 3 semesters of studies in a relevant field
- Available for a minimum of 6 months
Skills
- Languages: Spanish and/or German is a plus but not required
Pay
Hourly pay rate of $20.00 for this internship program.
