Logistics Coordinator / Part time 直採用 / Bilingual Japanese
This is a part-time, direct-hire position with an international import/export and manufacturing-related company, scheduled to start in September 2026 or later.
Schedule
- Approximately 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Work hours: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- Hybrid work arrangement: 3 days in the New York office and 2 days remote
Pay
$31.00 per hour
About the role
An international import/export and manufacturing-related company is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support its U.S. operations. This part-time, hybrid role is based in the New York office and requires bilingual English/Japanese communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Process customer purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Coordinate and process release orders to support efficient order fulfillment
- Prepare and maintain monthly reports related to sales, inventory, and operations
- Support forecasting activities by tracking trends and providing relevant operational data
- Generate and process customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Provide customer service support for U.S. operations, including responding to inquiries and resolving order-related issues
- Communicate with customers, internal teams, carriers, and warehouse contacts as needed
- Maintain accurate order, shipment, invoice, and operational records
- Support smooth day-to-day logistics and customer operations
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate degree or coursework in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field preferred
- Bilingual English and Japanese skills (written and verbal) required
- Minimum of 2 years of import logistics coordination experience preferred
- Experience with shipping documentation, carriers, and warehouse operations preferred
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Customer-service-oriented mindset with a proactive and responsive approach
