Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee order planning and order fulfillment.
- Maintain team shipment report for leadership visibility of upcoming shipments.
- Create accurate shipment bookings in individual customer web environments.
- Order and maintain devices related to customer shipping requirements, such as FreightWatch GPS, Temptale data loggers, customer specific seals, etc.
- Cook up and monitor all Contract Customer shipments.
- Complete all shipping documentation in accordance with company procedures related to Contract product shipping.
- Ensure all resources (labor, docks, floor space, powered industrial equipment, RF scanners) are used effectively.
- Utilize SAP to manage Contract Customer inventory, coordinate shipments, maintain inventory, allocate orders, verify order accuracy, PGI/invoice orders, etc.
- Plan, coordinate and track shipments of product ensuring accurate Bill of Lading, Packing Slips and Pallet Labels.
- Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders and maintaining perpetual inventory records of all material in SCN BestCo Contract warehouses.
- Cook logistics staff daily work according to availability and requirements.
- Facilitate driver check-in/check-out processes.
- Ensure load verification forms are created and pallets are confirmed for each customer order.
- Maintain familiarity with outgoing shipments of Contract products as necessary.
- Verify accuracy of incoming production tickets from the factory.
- Aid Inventory Coordinator and with annual physical inventory.
- Travel between Mazeppa and surrounding DCs, dependent on department needs (less than 10 miles).
Required Qualifications
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 4 years’ related experience.
- Demonstrated trouble shooting ability, excellent attendance and safety record, strong work ethic.
- Self-motivated with a high degree of personal integrity and strong sense of urgency coupled with the ability to prioritize requirements and activities.
- Results driven, proactive, production and quality oriented.
- Commitment to hygiene, quality, and cGMP practices.
- General computer and computer systems proficiency.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, utilize time efficiently, and multi-task in an ever changing, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced, team-oriented, ever-changing manufacturing environment.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal staff and management.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Must have the ability to demonstrate practical problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a cGMP or FDA regulated environment.
- Experience with SAP.
