Logistics Coordinator
About the role
Monitor, record, and prioritize the shipment of all finished goods
Proactive contact and professional communication with customers to learn preferred sequences, schedules and priorities.
Set up delivery, and delivery load tickets.
Using customers’ sequences and priorities, schedule & maintain the schedule for custom precast products.
Track custom produced product and compare to anticipated delivery schedules to identify product that needs to be delivered.
Manage inventory levels through daily meetings with production and monthly inventory counts.
Set up will call orders for same day dispatching.
Serve as backup to other logistics coordinator(s) as needed.
Serve as backup to dispatcher as needed.
Daily entry of pick tickets and loads in ERP system (JD Edwards).
Order creation and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of shipments
- Communicate with customers to establish and maintain preferred sequences and priorities
- Schedule and manage delivery of custom precast products
- Track inventory levels and adjust schedules accordingly
- Set up will call orders for immediate dispatch
- Support other logistics coordinators and dispatchers as needed
- Enter pick tickets and loads into the ERP system
- Create and maintain orders
Requirements
- Four-year degree or equivalent in Dispatch Shipping/Logistics or Supply Chain Management
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, or transportation coordination
- Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Excel, Adobe, and database/ERP systems (JD Edwards)
- Ability to learn or build upon existing knowledge of computer and/or database
- Strong data entry skills
