Logistics Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Work with existing key accounts as well as develop and grow new business.
  • Negotiate prices with shippers and carriers.
  • Manage daily shipments and resolve issues to ensure customers' freight is handled promptly.
  • Sell and close business from new and existing customers.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and carriers.
  • Enter shipment data and billing into the transport management system.
  • Track and trace all shipments.
  • Collaborate with various parties within the organization and the customer to meet their requirements and support the billing process.
  • Coordinate within the department, including the account manager, collections department, and other parties as necessary.
  • Assist with other tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience in logistics, trucking, or truck brokerage.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to support a fast-paced environment.
  • One year of experience in office, administrative, and customer service responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite, specifically Excel and TMS.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and invoicing.
  • McLeod / PowerBroker experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Ability to multi-task and handle a fast-paced environment.

Skills

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to handle conflict.
