Logistics Associate

About the role

The Logistics Associate position at Regal Rexnord is responsible for maintaining and organizing the shipping and receiving areas, ensuring accurate data and record of inventory movement, and performing various duties including receiving, stocking, staging, loading, and shipping goods and finished goods.

Responsibilities

• Follow company policies and procedures for picking, packing, and shipping domestic and international shipments.
• Accurately count and package items to ensure they arrive safely and in good condition.
• Ensure all shipment counts and items are accurate.
• Provide high levels of customer service.
• Schedule pickups for freight through phone and online portals.
• Prepare shipping documents such as bills of lading, international commercial invoices, NAFTA, and SED documents.
• Accurately record inventory movements and storage locations for finished goods.
• Report inventory shortages and overages to supervisor and complete inventory counts as required.
• Provide backup support for shipping areas, receiving, manufacturing/production, and warehouse/storage areas.
• Adhere to all safety rules and report questionable conditions to department supervisor.
• Apply and follow Lean practices.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent from an accredited institution, preferred.
• One year of experience in related field or manufacturing.
• Preferred experience in shipping and materials control procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the workforce.
• Knowledge with Microsoft Word/Excel.
• Ability to manage time effectively.
• Ability to complete arithmetic computations accurately.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, calculator, and copier.

Qualifications

• Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, twisting, squatting, overhead reaching, and using hands.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Lifting requirements include lifting up to 20 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds occasionally, and over 75 pounds with an assist.
