Role Overview

The Logistics Associate I follows established procedures and performs tasks related to packaging and shipment of product to ensure the quality and accuracy of outgoing shipments.

Additional Duties

• Ensures the quality and accuracy of outgoing shipments to align with TMS commitment to Total Customer Satisfaction.
• Prepares released shipments and completes shipping operations using Syteline/Pacejet software.
• Prepares accurate and complete customs paperwork and AES filings.
• Packages product for shipment, including boxing and crating of goods.
• Processes inventory transfer requests related to shipping demand, following inventory procedures.
• Arranges shipping via software (UPS, FedEx, DHL) for small packages.
• Contacts freight carriers to arrange pickup of LTL freight.
• Contacts Customer Account Representative regarding product exceptions, paperwork errors, or other discrepancies that may affect timely and accurate delivery.
• Ensures all shipments are correct and complete prior to end‑of‑day closing tasks.
• Maintains stocking levels of all necessary shipping supplies.
• Maintains cleanliness of logistics area: trash removal, sweeping, sorting, and organizing areas associated with production and logistics.
• Performs other related duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum three months of related work experience.
• Basic computer skills.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; lift and carry up to 50 lb and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb ladders; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lb. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, and peripheral vision. The role requires work in an indoor production environment with low to moderate noise level.
