About the Role
Supreme Integrated Technology (SIT) is an 100% employee-owned company specializing in custom hydraulic and electric powered movable structures for marine, oil & gas, defense, civil (movable bridges), and industrial power unit applications. As a Logistics Associate, you will play a key role in the accurate, efficient, and safe handling of goods, supporting production and customer delivery dates while maintaining workplace health, safety, and security standards.
This position offers the opportunity to be involved in every aspect of a project, from start to finish, within a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Shipping and Receiving:
- Process all incoming and outgoing shipments and documentation according to procedures.
- Pick-up and deliver shipments, ensuring material is delivered and unloaded safely and undamaged.
- Track and maintain shipping supplies inventory; assist in sourcing pallets and crates as needed.
- Package, secure, and crate materials of varying sizes and weights using power and hand tools, bracing, and strapping techniques.
- Prepare shipping documents and labels according to SIT standards, job packaging plans, and customer requirements.
- Photograph all outbound material as evidence of correct count, kind, and packaging; save to the shared drive.
- Record damage of incoming material on the Bill of Lading and photograph.
- Unload, receive, and determine the required inspection plan for incoming material.
- Perform Level 1 inspection (3-way check) and expedite other applicable inspections.
- Record receipt and binning of goods in the ERP system.
- Production Support:
- Pick and deliver items to the production floor as directed by the Contracts Administrator (CA).
- Work with the production manager and CA to identify any material remaining after job completion.
- Inventory Management:
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, or supply rooms based on inventory status (Accepted, Non-Conforming, QA Hold).
- Mark/tag all material to indicate status: Accepted, Rejected, QA Hold, In Process, Customer Property, Job numbers, and Heat Numbers.
- Ensure inventory is not removed from the area without proper documentation.
- Communicate with the Logistics Manager regarding damaged or missing job material.
- Complete weekly cycle counts and ensure inventory records are accurate.
- Address material remaining after job completion as directed by engineering.
- Process vendor returns as requested and submit claims for damage to carriers.
- Maintenance:
- Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory areas for cleanliness and orderliness.
- Assist in the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery, and equipment as needed.
- Clean and maintain warehouse equipment.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment as applicable; complete vehicle logs and save records on the shared drive.
- Perform general building maintenance (e.g., change light bulbs, paint, move/assemble furniture).
- Team Support and Compliance:
- Support objectives of the logistics team, including the Logistics Manager, Contracts Administrator, Shop Foreman, and Client Services Representative.
- Ensure the health, safety, cleanliness, and security of the work environment.
- Participate in the organization’s continual improvement program to conform to ISO 9001 standards.
- Demonstrate leadership and commitment to the quality management system by:

Requirements
- Education and Training:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred; experience may be accepted in lieu of education.
- Good driving record.
- Current CDL License a plus.
- Forklift Truck License a plus.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment a plus.
- Experience:
- Two (2) years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of safe operating procedures.
- Ability to use hand and power tools to brace and secure heavy equipment in crates and on pallets.
- Ability to cut lumber and build crates.
- Ability to move steel plate and other heavy material with a heavy industrial forklift.
- Knowledge of inventory procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, Bills of Material, and technical specifications (a plus).
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) (a plus).
- Physical and Safety Requirements:
- Able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
- Must comply with any safety or PPE requirements imposed by clients.
- Able to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and adjustment of focus.
- Regular exposure to hot, wet, or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles.
- Able to work in confined spaces if necessary.
- Occasional exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, and vibration.
- Able to pass required drug tests and background inspections.
