Logistics and Production Control General Manager

We’re seeking a Logistics and Production Control (PC) General Manager to lead departmental operations supporting our automatic transmission manufacturing plant in Cibolo, Texas. This key leadership position provides strategic support to manufacturing operations producing complex automotive components, while building strong partnerships with management and department leaders to drive a safe, high-quality, and efficient production environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Logistics and Production Control across production planning, supplier and material flow management, new product and model launches, and demand, inventory, and shipping execution to meet customer requirements.
• Generate plant productivity and manpower management analysis and reports.
• Optimize operational resources by driving cost efficiency, inventory discipline, and capacity alignment with business forecasts.
• Foster a positive work environment centered on compliance and continuous improvement.
• Lead and report departmental targets, goals to include budgeting, labor, fixed assets, schedules, data, tours, and future planning.
• Resolve issues, coordinate operations, negotiate with and request cooperation from related departments, other internal departments, and external parties.
• Maintain a total cost perspective with a lean manufacturing mindset by identifying obsolescence drivers and effectively communicating solutions to 3rd party logistics providers.
• Engage and motivate Assistant Managers, Group Leaders, Team Leaders, and Team Members to follow and adhere to company policies and objectives regarding safety, quality, environmental, and information security.
• Work closely with Human Resources by providing key information that helps create and maintain a work environment that attracts, motivates, and retains quality team members.
