This position is subject to contract award and will support the United States Space Force (USSF) Mission Delta 3. The selected candidate will work on-site and remote at El Segundo, CA, leading a contract team supporting the USSF Hemisphere Task Order (TO) 2 contract.
Responsibilities
- Advise, perform, and/or lead logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, evaluating, and executing the logistical actions required to support a specified mission, weapons system, or designated program.
- Work independently and as part of a collaborative team; lead and complete complex projects in support of the assigned effort.
- Identify critical logistics requirements (e.g., funding, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services) needed to support the assigned effort.
- Plan, advise, and align logistics requirements with applicable policy, procedures, and guidance; implement and align logistics requirements as part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT).
- Develop and advise on alternative courses of action to adjust to funding, requirements, and schedule adjustments.
- Ensure Asset Management and Material Accountability are compliant with applicable policy, procedures, and guidance.
- Support or lead supply chain risk management working groups and ensure supply chain assurance compliance with applicable policy, procedures, and guidance.
- Support or lead the development or update of a Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP).
- Implement and manage a Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) program.
- Apply familiarity with defense acquisition management in accordance with DoD 5000, the Product Support Business Case Analysis, and the logistics integrated product support model.
- Maintain proficiency with Microsoft Office tools as required for duty performance (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint/SharePoint/Teams) and other tools as required.
Requirements
- Must meet one of the following minimum recommended education/experience pathways (functionally aligned), including the DoD-experience minimums:
- Master’s or Doctorate in a related field and 10 years of experience in the discipline being performed (5 years must be in DoD).
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the discipline being performed (5 years must be in DoD).
- 15 years of directly related experience (8 years must be in DoD).
- Tier 5, Top Secret/SCI clearance eligibility.
