About the Role
LANXESS is seeking a Logistics Loader to prepare finished product for packaging and shipment. This role involves inventory management, shipping and receiving functions, and forklift operation for material movements. The Logistics Loader will participate in health, safety, and environmental programs and improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Conform to all plant safety and environmental policies, accepting responsibility for personal safety.
- Work in, and comply with, cGMP and quality guidelines.
- Package, prepare, and load product for shipments as needed, based on demand.
- Assess shipment needs against production volume and organize material inventory as needed, working with shipping coordinators.
- Load and unload product and packaging material using a forklift.
- Apply proper package labeling and shipping documentation with regard to DOT and internal requirements.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with other employees.
- Participate in organizational health, safety, and environmental teams and initiatives to implement solutions and improvements.
- Maintain flexibility, display leadership, and prioritize tasks to meet business requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
- Willing and able to lift or move up to 50 pounds and climb stairs and ladders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of distribution and shipping.
- Understanding of DOT requirements.
- Experience working in a cGMP facility.
