Locums Psychiatrist

About the role

This role involves providing adult inpatient psychiatry services in a hospital setting. The position requires a minimum 12-month commitment and offers longer terms.

Responsibilities

• Managing a census of 10-12 patients daily
• Participating in weekend rounding with residents
• Handling urgent backfill coverage
• Managing approximately 1-2 admits/discharges per day
• Rotating daytime call every three weeks
• Working weekdays with one weekend per month and one night per week on call

Qualifications

• Relevant psychiatric certification
• Experience in inpatient care
