Locums Psychiatrist

About the role

This role involves providing outpatient psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults at a regional health center. The position supports a diverse patient mix: 10% children, 20% adolescents, and 70% adults.

Responsibilities

• Manage 6–8 outpatient appointments daily, with sessions lasting 60 to 90 minutes
• Conduct 2–3 medication checks per day
• Utilize telehealth via the Webex platform
• Perform patient assessments and medication management
• Provide outpatient mental health services
• Manage assignment details and time entry through an online portal

Requirements

• Hospital privileges
• Relevant medical credentials and skills in outpatient psychiatric care
