Locums Obstetrics Gynecologist

About the role

This role involves providing inpatient and on-call obstetrics and gynecology services, including deliveries such as C-sections, VBACs, breech, and complicated cases.

Responsibilities

• Perform OB ultrasounds
• Conduct minor GYN procedures (e.g., IUD placements, colposcopies, cryosurgeries)
• Perform low forceps deliveries and laceration repairs
• Respond to beeper calls within 30 minutes
• Handle an average of 2 phone consults, 2 patient visits, and 1 admission daily
• Maintain a 1:1 call ratio with callbacks
• Cover inpatient duties
• Manage assignment details through an online portal
• Maintain 24-hour access to a dedicated consultant

Requirements

• Proficiency in OB ultrasound
• Experience with minor GYN procedures
• Delivery experience (including C-sections, VBACs, breech, and complicated cases)
