Locums Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist

This role involves providing inpatient psychiatric care on a dedicated unit, primarily working with children and adolescents as young as 3 years old. Key responsibilities include rounding on assigned patients, managing admissions, and addressing a range of mental health conditions such as anxiety, affective, psychotic, eating, and developmental disorders. The role requires familiarity with involuntary commitments, seclusion, restraint, and pharmacotherapy. Ideal candidates will have experience in pharmacological treatment and possess strong clinical skills in managing acute psychiatric cases. Shifts are from 7 am to 5 pm with a 10-hour guarantee, and approximately 12 patients are seen per shift. Support services include credentialing, travel, housing, malpractice coverage, and a dedicated recruiter to handle logistics. Compensation ranges from $185.00 to $220.00 hourly, combining base pay with additional earnings like overtime and holiday pay.
