About the role
This role involves providing inpatient coverage in a busy hospital setting, with solo coverage and no mid-level support.
Responsibilities
- Manage 6–12 consultations daily
- Perform 10–20 rounds daily
- Complete 5–10 echocardiogram reads per day
- Complete 5–10 nuclear imaging reads per day (TEE preferred but not required)
Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM shifts
- 1 week of coverage per month
- 4–5 nights of call during each 7-day stretch
Qualifications
- Proficiency in echocardiography and nuclear imaging
Skills
- Strong clinical judgment
- Ability to work independently in a high-volume environment
- Excellent communication
