Locums Cardiac Anesthesia

About the role

This role involves providing anesthesia services in a busy hospital setting, primarily covering regional anesthesia for high orthopedic volume and managing a range of non-cardiac cases, including trauma, OB, and pediatrics.

Required expertise includes performing TAVR, CABG, valve repair/replacement, and ascending arch procedures, with proficiency in TEEs. The position requires trauma experience and the ability to handle diverse case types when not in CVOR.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services for regional anesthesia cases, particularly in orthopedics
• Manage non-cardiac cases, including trauma, OB, and pediatrics
• Perform TAVR, CABG, valve repair/replacement, and ascending arch procedures
• Utilize TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography) expertise
• Participate in call rotations (~2 weeknights and 1-2 weekends per month)
• Maintain excellent patient care standards

Requirements

• Relevant anesthesia certification
• Trauma experience
• Proficiency in regional anesthesia

Pay

Competitive hourly rates ranging from $300 to $400, inclusive of overtime, call, and holiday pay.
