Locums Anesthesiologist

About the role

This role involves providing anesthesia services primarily for adult patients within a busy cardiac service line, including CABG, valve surgeries, and ECMO placements. Caseload comprises approximately 300-350 pump cases annually.

Responsibilities

• Administering general anesthesia
• Administering blocks
• Administering OB epidurals
• Supporting orthopedic procedures
• Managing cases efficiently with minimal callbacks after hours

Schedule

The schedule typically includes weekdays from 7 am to 3 pm, with some days extending to 5 pm, and running two rooms until 8:30 pm. Call rotation is 1:6 to 1:7.

Qualifications

Experience in cardiac anesthesia and proficiency in various anesthesia techniques. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented team players committed to delivering high-quality anesthesia care in a fast-paced environment.
