About the role

This is a temporary locum tenens assignment lasting 26 weeks, with the possibility of scheduled and optional on-call shifts. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing urological disorders, performing surgical interventions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing patient education.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and manage urological disorders such as urinary tract infections, kidney stones, and prostate issues.
• Perform surgical interventions including cystoscopies, nephrectomies, and prostatectomies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide consultation services to other medical team members regarding critically ill patients.
• Educate patients about conditions, treatment options, and post-care management strategies.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency training in urology accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
• Fellowship training in a urology specialty may be required.
• Board certification in urology by the American Board of Urology (ABU) or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery (AOBS).
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Washington.
• At least one year of clinical experience preferred.

• Strong expertise in performing a range of both surgical and non-surgical urological procedures.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex medical information to patients.
• Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex urological conditions.
• Flexibility to adapt to new work environments and different medical teams.

• Length: 26 weeks
• Shift Coverage: Standard 5-day, 8-hour shifts (08:00 - 17:00) with optional on-call availability.

Pay

$345/hour - $355/hour
