About the Role
A locum tenens Radiation Oncologist is sought to provide outpatient oncology services in a structured clinical environment. The position involves managing approximately 20 patients on treatment weekly and conducting 4 new patient consultations, utilizing EPIC EMR for documentation and coordination.
Responsibilities
- Deliver radiation oncology treatments supported by Elekta and Siemens equipment
- Manage patient care during clinic hours
- Maintain clinical protocols
- Perform new patient consultations
- Document care accurately in EPIC EMR
- Coordinate treatment plans
No call duties are required. The clinician will work two weeks per month, focusing on outpatient services for adult patients.
Requirements
- Board certification in Radiation Oncology
- Active North Carolina medical license (temporary privileges available)
- Prescriptive authority
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Experience with radiation treatment delivery
