About the role
Locum tenens physician coverage in an inpatient setting with both inpatient and outpatient rounding responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Admissions and management of an average of 7 patients per shift
- Respond to beeper calls within 30 minutes
- Procedures: non-invasive ventilation, intubation, UVC, UAC, chest tube placement, circumcision, and needle pneumothorax decompression
- Call ratio of 1:3 with a 25% callback rate
- Online time entry and assignment management
Requirements
- Proficiency in required procedures (non-invasive ventilation, intubation, UVC, UAC, chest tube placement, circumcision, needle pneumothorax decompression)
- Ability to handle admissions and respond promptly to calls
