Locum Tenens Obstetrics Gynecologist

About the role

This role involves providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide call coverage with a 30-minute response time and a 1:3 call ratio
• Manage 20-25 clinic patients per shift and 1-6 inpatients
• Perform approximately 700 deliveries annually, including:
  • Vaginal deliveries
  • Low forceps deliveries
  • Cesarean sections (C-sections)
  • Breech deliveries
  • Multiple births
  • Deliveries involving abruptions
• Round on unassigned patients
• Perform open and laparoscopic gynecologic procedures
• Conduct office procedures, including:
  • IUD placement
  • Cystoscopy
  • Colposcopy
  • Cryosurgery
  • LEEP (Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure)

Requirements

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
