Locum Tenens Obstetrics Gynecologist

About the role

This role involves providing call coverage with holiday shifts included, managing low-risk pregnancies, and performing vaginal deliveries and C-sections. You will handle inpatient and call responsibilities with a required response time of 15-20 minutes, managing approximately 400 deliveries annually. The position includes performing ultrasound and amniocentesis procedures, with preferred experience in high-risk obstetrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide call coverage, including holiday shifts
• Manage low-risk pregnancies and perform vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Respond to inpatient and call duties within 15-20 minutes
• Handle approximately 400 deliveries annually
• Perform ultrasound and amniocentesis procedures
• Manage patients during call and ensure timely response
• Record assignment details online
• Maintain 24-hour access to a dedicated consultant
