About the role

This role involves providing medical coverage in a combined ED/UC department at a tertiary care hospital. This position is suitable for clinicians seeking flexible shifts in a dynamic, well-equipped facility.

Responsibilities

• Managing an average of 140 patients per shift
• Working in a stroke-certified facility with PEDS Level 3 designation
• Receiving newborn deliveries in the ED, with onsite L&D
• Offering comprehensive patient care in a high-volume, complex environment
• Documentation
• Collaborating with healthcare teams
• Maintaining high-quality patient care standards

Schedule

• Day, evening, and overnight 12-hour shifts
• 5 to 8 shifts per month

Qualifications

• Relevant medical licensure
• Certification
• Experience in emergency or urgent care settings
