Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist

About the role

We are seeking an Anesthesiologist for hospital-based coverage with 8-hour day shifts and scheduled call. The role involves providing anesthesia for adults and healthy pediatric patients, including placing blocks, spinals, and labor epidurals for OB.

Scope of practice covers general, orthopedic, ENT, robotics, GYN, urology, pediatric dental, ophthalmology, endoscopy, and OB cases. The role excludes cardiac, thoracic, sick pediatrics, and head procedures.

Close collaboration with the OB department is required; this role cannot be isolated from obstetric cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for adults and healthy pediatric patients
• Perform regional anesthesia, including upper and lower extremity blocks
• Place spinals and labor epidurals for OB cases
• Manage anesthesia procedures across multiple specialties (general, ortho, ENT, robotics, GYN, urology, peds dental, ophthalmology, endoscopy, OB)
• Collaborate closely with the OB department

Requirements

• Strong regional anesthesia skills, particularly in upper and lower extremity blocks
• Comfortable working in a hospital setting
