About the role
VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona is seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians to work at our well-established, AAHA-accredited, 18-doctor practice in Mesa, Arizona. We are looking for qualified, experienced Technicians to be part of our exciting, growing team. We are a 24-hour emergency/specialty practice looking for Technicians with positive personalities; whose attributes reflect attention-to-detail, self-motivation, compassion, and reliability.
Essential Functions
- Venipuncture
- Catheter placement
- Radiology
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Physical examinations and patient assessment
- Surgical preparation and assisting
- Laboratory work
- Pharmacy
- Patient recovery
- Compassionate care for hospitalized patients
Qualifications
- Must have documented previous experience
- Hold a current CVT license (preferred, not required)
- Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays
- Customer service skills
- Working knowledge of computers
- Excellent communications skills
- Capable of being cross-trained as receptionist and kennel assistant
- Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
