Locum Radiation Oncologist

About the Role

This position is for a licensed, board-certified Radiation Oncologist providing inpatient radiation oncology services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver inpatient radiation therapy to adult patients using targeted high-energy doses.
• Oversee treatment plans, collaborate with the care team, and determine patient candidacy for radiation therapy.
• Communicate treatment benefits and side effects to patients.
• Complete all patient documentation via EPIC EMR.
• Operate Linear Accelerators, including Varian, Siemens, and Elekta systems.

Requirements

• Board certification in radiation oncology.
• Experience with linear accelerators and EMR documentation.
• Ability to evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Strong communication skills for patient interactions.

Key Duties

• Provide inpatient radiation oncology care.
• Evaluate candidates for treatment.
• Manage treatments and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality cancer care within an established clinical environment.
