Locum | Physician Pulmonology - Critical Care

About the Role

CompHealth leverages a nationwide network of facilities to match locums physicians with assignments that fit their preferences. A dedicated recruiter will manage all aspects of the assignment, from credentialing to travel arrangements.

Schedule

• Day shift: 8 am – 5 pm, Monday – Sunday
• Overnight call: 5 pm – 8 am, every other night
• Fewer than 10 overnight calls per month, rarely requiring physical return

Responsibilities

• Manage new consults (typically 10 per day or less) and overall service volume of 25 – 30 patients
• Conduct hospital rounds and provide inpatient care with ICU coverage
• Perform ventilator management, bronchoscopies, and placement of arterial and central lines
• Provide ongoing leave coverage across multiple date blocks

Qualifications

• Board certified in pulmonology and critical care
