About the role
APPs serve as first line — physician provides backup support.
Hospitalists available 24/7.
Primarily inpatient rehabilitation focus.
Medical Director role — minimum 20 hours/week.
On-call backup for APP team nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Serve as first line inpatient rehabilitation providers.
- Provide backup support from a physician.
- Work closely with hospitalists 24/7.
- Assist in managing the medical director role, with at least 20 hours per week commitment.
- Be on-call for the APP team during nights and weekends.
Requirements
A medical degree, current license to practice medicine in good standing, and completion of an approved APP program are required.
Qualifications
Experience in inpatient rehabilitation is preferred.
Skills
Strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.
