About the role
A 24-hour out-of-house call schedule is in place, with shifts from 7 am – 7 am. Weekend call includes Friday 7:30 am – Monday 7:30 am. Ongoing coverage potential beyond the initial assignment is available.
Newborn nursery coverage is provided, with an average of 0 – 2 nursery patients per day and 35 – 45 deliveries per month. The setting is strictly the newborn nursery, and NRP and PALS certifications are required. Stabilization and transfer skills are also necessary.
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with neonatal patients and their families
- Assist with stabilization and transfers as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in the newborn nursery
- Participate in ongoing coverage as assigned
Requirements
- NRP and PALS certifications required
- Stabilization and transfer skills required Qualifications
- Experience in family medicine or internal medicine preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
