Locum | Physician Pathology

About the role

Some locum assignments can be as short as a day, others span years. Opportunities range from local to distant locations, offering true flexibility based on your needs and career phase. This position provides vacation coverage for 2026 and 2027.

You will handle 60–70 cases per day, including surgical and non-gyn cytology, with support from a remote pathology team. The practice is backed by three pathologists and manages approximately 16,000 cases annually.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate GI, GYN, skin, breast, lung biopsies, and major resections
• Perform non-GYN cytology, including pleural fluids, FNAs, EBUS, BALs, and more
• Share cases with a remote pathology team
• Weeknight call required
• Hospital privileges required

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4 pm (with weeknight call required)
